The discussion will feed into a book Ryder co-authors on the Hungarian election and current political situation for Palgrave Macmillan.
Professor Ryder is Director of the Institute of Political and International Studies at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary. Prior to this he held academic positions at Corvinus University Budapest and the universities of Bristol and Birmingham. Ryder has a longstanding history of social justice activism and campaigning especially with Roma communities. He recently co-authored: Ryder, A, Majtenyi, B and Zsiga, F (2026) - Palgrave Macmillan ‘Soros and the Roma: praxis, equality and empowerment’.
