After the ACES Academic conference in November organised by Sarah de Lange, a podcast with the keynote speaker, Simon Hix, was recorded. The podcast discusses the rise and fall of the Social Democracy in Europe, and is part of a series of Podcasts.
The first guest of this new Podcast series is the Britisch political scientist Simon Hix, London School of Economics. He collected all the elections results of 31 countries between 1918 and 2017. This extended research brought him new insights on the rise and fall fo the social democrats in Europe.
What circumstances influence their electorat? Why did people leave the social democrats and what strategies could be use to make a comeback?
